Digital cameras were actually not allowed and I saw a guy near me have his confiscated just before the show began, so I had to take many pics on the sly which is why these on a whole aren't up to my usual standard of excellence. As the show went on I eventually got braver and was able to get some really good shots. Hope you have enjoyed them.

Nah, I don't think he could even see me. I had to reach up and over for the shot. Maybe he was pissed today and that's why we got such a hard rocking show =)

Kickass. I wonder what the real deal about them not wanting to play Leash is.

I usually have a better pool of good shots to pick from is more what I meant. They were going so nuts onstage last night, there were some real golden opportunities I would have loved to have had the freedom to shoot. It was such an amazing gig. Fucking hell.

While the wife was holding our spot in the queue I went around to the other side of the building and waited near the door. We knew soundcheck was set for 5pm. At about 4.30 their manager showed up followed by the band soon after. For soundcheck the side door was left open and you could hear it pretty clearly... it was a lot easier than if it had been an arena or such.

As for getting to the shows and getting so close, the only secret I can reveal is dedication!! ;-)

You got VIP passes through the fanclub? Sweet! I know it's not easy to take pictures at a concert, even more so if you have to do it without anyone knowing ... nice job!

great stuff.
i was there at the back. thought the show rocked, but these pictures really complete the...umm...picture, as i was wondering about things like what his t-shirt said, and just how grizzly the beard had actually gotten.

also really pleased to have the set list.

I use a 4 megapixel Fuji FinePix camera. It's a point and shoot with basic 3x optical which I used to varying degrees. I shoot my concert pics using the sport mode, which is essential on this camera for any sort of action shot in dim lighting.

Thank you soooo much for posting those pics. Up to now, they are the best around. Those two close ups of Eddie are just awesome - the second one (smiling) is my new desktop (if OK with you!). Thanks again - it was an incredible night!
